Hey everyone,

I am a industrial designer 3rd student as well as photographer , Looking to invest in a tablet for multiple reasons such as photoshop , but wanted to ask anyone if they have used a good tablet for photo editing? I heard that The difference in mainly in the pen tilt/rotation, pen pressure, screen parallax, expresskeys, multi-touch, and tablet stand. .My friend has an XP-Pen Artist 15.6 ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Artist15-6-1920x1080-Graphics-Drawing-Battery-free/dp/B0785682VP ) 15.6 inch display which is works perfectly, and I am jealous of it. it's a solid beast that's designed for that purpose:

I would like to be able to take a tablet with me instead of my laptop when I travel, and still be able to edit photos. I have looked into XP-Pen Artist 22E pro ( https://www.amazon.co.uk/Graphics-Drawing-Artist22E-Pressure-Sensitivity/dp/B07CP1LMHJ ) 21.5 inch display which looks awesome , are these one recommendable? But before I buy I wanted to get some Info from experienced people.

Things that are important:

-enough processing power and RAM to do the job without pinwheels all day

-good stylus compatibility (any stylus recommendations?)

Thanks in advance!

I notice that the XP-Pen Artist 22E PRO you linked to on Amazon does not have a single user review.  I like Amazon specifically for it's often very high number of user reviews, because I am hoping that with those numbers, I am getting honest feedback from people who have paid for and use the device in question.  The Questions and Answers on Amazon can be even more revealing, because they involve two user accounts for each Q&A, so a _bit_ less likely to be paid for reviews, or bots.

I'm guessing that you are young from your student comments, and still have decent eyesight?  I am not young, and find the small display on my Cintiq Companion 2 too small to use comfortably, and I think it has a 2560 x 1440 display resolution, albeit at just 13.3".   I also find it a bit flaky to use if truth be told, and I don't enjoy using it for Photoshop, but a 3rd year student would probably do better...  well as far as seeing what you are doing at least.   I guess the trick is not to be too ambitious regards image size and complexity, because you'd run into frustrating lag trying to work the same projects we do on our desktop computers.

OK, I have looked some more, and the device has got a good number of reviews on Amazon US and four stars from 57 people to boot.  That's not bad, and I would feel better about buying one from that.   But why the huge difference in price?  £600 sterling on Amazon UK, and US$500 on Amazon USA.

There are pros and cons with its 1080 resolution on a 21" display.  Photoshop's UI will work well, but I'd like higher pixel density in a tablet.  You'll know how beautifully clear your tiny iPhone screen is despite it's small size.

I know nothing about the driver reliability with this device, so make sure it plays nicely with Photoshop CC2018.  That means pen pressure and how clean its lines are in Photoshop.  You say you have a pal with a similar device?

When you get your tablet, treat yourself to Lazy Nezumi Pro.  Photoshop has line smoothing now, but LNP is a must have for digital illustrators.  I hope you found some of that useful and not too rambling.
