Question

Clone stamp and also 'aligned' setting

Hi everyone. My first post. I've been using photoshop for years but now I have a new laptop and cs6 so some things have changed and many things have improved.

My inquiry is regarding the clone stamp that fades to almost invisible while I'm flashing around the screen taking various samples. It generally fades around mid to bright tones. Over dark tones it remains visible. I've searched for a setting to root the sampling circle to a solid colour but can't find one.

My other gripe is that 'align' turns on, as you probably know, with a combination of pressing the Alt key and mouse clicks when you don't want this option. Sometimes I only notice this after about 30 clicks and it's really annoying. Is there some way to disable this function and make it only come on with a physical click on the 'Align' box?

Do far these are the only two really annoying things in photoshop and in my opinion, unless there is a fix in just seriously missing, are fairly bad design flaws.

I hope someone can help. Thanks in advance.

    Regarding to fading:
Make sure that your brush options are like what you need
edit the brush hardness to get the edge sharpness you desire.

Make sure that Mode is Normal - Opacity & Flow are 100%

Align option make fixed distance between Source and cloned area. If you unchecked it, Source will change every time you change the distance. I think no relation between how many times you use it.

Thanks Omar, I'm away from my computer today but I'll post a few screen shots or even a short video if this forum allows.

At 100% opacity and flow the circle still fades to almost invisible when cloning which renders accurate sampling of the area I'm trying to clone almost impossible.

I notice the Align option activates on a double click on the mouse. Why!!! When I'm cloning at speed my clicks are fast. I shouldn't need to keep checking the Align button to see if I've activated it. If I could disable this action I'd be very happy.  Surely it makes sense to only activate Align by checking the Align box.

I'll send some screen shots tomorrow.

    Thanks again.
