Clone stamp tool comes out yellow

I'm trying to use the clone stamp on an image.

The issue I'm having, I select the area I want to clone from which is a mix of brown and white.  For some reason the cloned part comes out with a bit of yellow thrown in there, that is not with the original image.

I've looked at the settings of everything, I can't figure out how it's happening.

Thanks in advance for the help.

Hi Matthew

Check the options bar for :

a. The brush blending mode - try "normal" for most cloning

b. The sampling option - try "Current and below" for most cloning  - if set to all layers and there is an adjustment layer above the layer you are cloning from and to - then cloned part will have the adjustment applied twice

Hi Matthews,
the usual prefs reset is the first step. Then we can try to figure out.

Press Ctrl-K (PC) or cmd-K (Mac).

Click on "Reset Preferences on Quit" in the "General" tab and press OK to confirm your action.

Press OK to close the Preferences window.

Restart Photoshop.
