CMD+SHIFT+C ?? What happened to this shortcut?

Hi, does anyone know what alternative (if any) there is to the feature where you ctrl/cmd,shift,C copies the entire canvas, or selected area, into your clipboard, and when you create a new canvas it preserves dimensions in the new file window. Then you can just paste whatever you copied from the other psd straight into the new one as an image, not layers. Right now when i do this it just copies the first layer, or selected layer. Thanks in advance!

SOLVED Finally I learnt what this is called, no shortcut was assigned to the command Copy Merged on the shortcuts panel.

Hope this helps anyone else lost by silly adobe changes to stuff that use to work perfectly!

Just use Image > Duplicate image and check "Duplicate Merged layers only"

That worked too, but its a bit of an extra step to the shortcut Copy Merged. Thanks davescm 🙂

Actually I find Duplicate Image quicker. You don't have to select all, and you don't have to create a new document from the clipboard and paste into it. You could also allocate a shortcut key to it.

Incidentally Shift+Ctrl+C is still allocated to copy merged here (using v21.1 on Windows)
