color balance between printer and monitor

i have a trial version of photoshop.  when i set print for color to be managed by photoshop the image is the way i want it on the monitor and it prints light and shifted cyan. when i set print for the printer to manage color the print is light again but shifted to the magenta. how do i fix this?
