Color bars bug when using content aware fill

I have been trying to use content aware fill on a large photo merge and have not had issues until today. I'm working on a new iMac Pro. When I fill an area with content aware, strange blocks of color bars pop up on the image randomly (not just in the places I have tried to fill). Also, if I undo the fill, the colors still remain on the image.
