Color changes from NEF to TIF, even though both in sRGB

Hi. So I've been using photoshop for awhile but just recently something has changed when I export my NEF files from Lightroom to edit in photoshop. Even when I do nothing to the file, just take it into photoshop and then save it back to lightroom, the file looks like it has had a vibrance boost.

I have my export settings set to sRGB, 8 bit. I've confirmed that the files are in sRGB (version 2.1) once in photoshop. I've tried changing my lightroom export setting to other profiles with no effect. I've tried changing the files individually in Photoshop to other color profiles. sRGB is still the closest one to my lightroom NEF file.

When I bring the file back into Photoshop and then export both the photoshop and then original file as jpegs in sRGB, the color differences are still there.

What do I do? This makes me not want to take a file from a session into Photoshop because now I have to take all of my files into Photoshop to make sure the editing stays consistent.

(Top is NEF file, bottom is TIF, both exported with same settings as JPEGS).

It looks like your Lightroom and ACR versions are out of sync. Make sure both are at the same and corresponding version level. If you have Lightroom 10.4, ACR needs to be at version 7.4. - not 7.0 or 7.2  And vice versa.

There was a significant change to the whole camera profile interface between x.2 and x.3, with some new profiles and crucially, a totally new default profile.

When you send a file from Lightroom to Photoshop, it is actually opened into Photoshop by ACR, not Lightroom. Lightroom just passes on its settings. If ACR is then using a different camera profile when opening, you get this.
