color checker passport vs Datacolor spyder 24

There is a major difference. ColorChecker Passport creates a real camera raw profile. Spyder creates a series of slider settings in the HSL panel, so it creates a preset.

In principle they should both use the same standardized set of patches, but x-rite has a better reputation for reliability and durability. So that's the one I have.

EDIT: hang on. Looking at images, it seems the Spyder has mirrored the patches. So that's not standard after all. Of course it doesn't matter for manual readings, but in some scenarios you might rely on automatic reading of the patches.
