color picker not working

After updating Photoshop, the color picker is not working. When I try to select a color from the screen all I get is white. I have tried on multiple layers. I have reset All Tools, nothing is resolving the problem. Any answers?

You may need to reset your preferences but, before you do that, a question.

You do have the layer selected in the layers panel and not a mask ?

I have reset my preferences with no luck, and as I stated, I have selected multiple layers and not masks. In addition the “Sample” choice is set to “All Layers”. Still no luck. Any ideas?

Hi

Given that you have already reset preferences, if no-one comes along with a better suggestion, you may have to go for an uninstall then re-install - which is not as painful as it sounds with the CC desktop app.
