Color select kinda not working but idk / CS6

So Basically when I go to color select then shadow, I can't change the fuzziness nor the range. Can someone help me?

    Could you post a screenshot of Photoshop with all the pertinent panels opened, also could you explain exactly the process your using to access the color range

    Have you tried resetting Photoshop preferences

    To restore preferences quickly using a keyboard shortcut: Press and hold Alt+Control+Shift (Windows) or Option+Command+Shift (Mac OS) as you start Photoshop. You are prompted to delete the current settings. The new preferences files are created the next time you start Photoshop.
