Question

colorizing bitmapped images

Hello!

I have an assiment where I can only use two colors. So, I put my first image into 8bit Bitmap and then converted it back to RBG. I then made a layer and added my second color with the brush tool. I set this layer to the blending mode "Color" and it looks how I want it to. When I then saved the image as a .TIF or .PNG or .PDF file, the color would just dissapear. I tried flattening the image too, but that just made the color disapear as well.

Please help!

Hi

We can't tell much by seeing the images. Can you also show the Layers and Channels panels for the two-color image? Resize both panels as tall and as wide as needed so we can see everything in them.

What mode is your image in?

Did you start with an image that was in color? Do you still have that? If so, we can give you a second method.

Hi! Here is the screenshot requested. The image is in RGB color. I do still have the full color image, what other method do you have for this? My professor was very specfic on it only having two colors.

Hi

When you saved it as a PNG did you have used embedded colour profile checked?
