Command Key not working in Photoshop tool panels

I've started having a bug today where the Command key does not seem to work in an any of the photoshop tools panels.

e.g to copy a hex code from the colour picker or copying a text size from the characters panel.

I thought it was just copy and paste issue but even command + A to select all does not work.

Oddly everything seems to work fine within my actual photoshop layers where i can copy and paste without any issues. And all of the other shortcuts work as expected.

It is only when i try to do something within the tools panels when I have the issue.

This is very frustrating, any ideas on how to fix this?

I'm using the latest Photoshop CC on macOS Sierra.

Thanks

I have this problem too. Despite trashing the prefs, and re-installing PS - it works once then never again after that. Maybe it's the beta ai situ?

I have same problem

Restarting and Unistalling app didn't workout.

Just wondering if there was any resolution on this, I have recently installed the latest Photoshop and the issue is still happening.

Additionally this has now started to intermittently stopping me from being able to even type in boxes which is very frustrating!

Any help on this, would be greatly appreciated.

No problem here, but I find most users either have their PCs or Macs on or sleeping, rarely ever power them down or restart.

If you haven't done so, I suggest everyone try that and see if the problems go away. For Windows PCs, add a Disk check and Cleanup old caches and files.

Thanks for the reply, I fully shut down my mac at the end of everyday so I don't think that is the issue, otherwise it would have resolved itself by now

Are you sure the keyboard shortcut key hasn't been assigned to another shortcut. You can check in Edit > Keyboard Shortcut...

I thought this at first but I can copy and paste within text layers and sometimes in some of the tools panels.

And you've double checked that cmd A hasn't been reassigned?

See if resetting your Photoshop preferences helps – you do this under the General tab in Photoshop Preferences.

Thanks, I have tried that but it didn't seem to fix it.

It is very odd, I never works in the colour picker panel.

I cant copy x/y numbers in transform but I can copy x/y values in properties.

For the characters/paragraph panel It seems to work so long as I am not clicked inside a text box. If I am clicked on the layer I can copy and paste numbers in the character panel. If I click to edit the text I then loose this functionality.

All of the above used to to work before, but has somehow stopped.

Try unticking "Use Graphics Processor" in Photoshop Preferences under the Performance tab.
