I read on a website that he is the famous Iterative Bicubic (also called stairstep intepolation bicubic). Does anyone know how it works?

Why in Adobe After Effects the Detail Preserving has the option "Detail", but in Photoshop, right? This option is hidden somewhere? If you don't have it, what percentage of the "detail" that is standard for the Detail Preserving in Photoshop?

I do not know the math behind the various resample methods, but maybe this helps:

As for »Preserve Details« it is a Resample-option in the dialog raised via Image > Image Size.
