Question

Connecting to Photos on a MacBook Pro

I know this seems like a stupid question but I want to connect Photoshop to "Photos" on a Macbook Pro and use it as my primary source for images and photograghs. I can't find any relevant information regarding this, it seemed to do it automatically when I used a Windows PC, but now I don't know.

I would be very grateful to anyone who can tell me how to do this.

Many of the standard methods that work with any Mac application also work with Photoshop, for example:

You can simply drag one or more pictures from the Apple Photos app, and drop them onto the Photoshop app icon or application window. If you drag and drop multiple photos at once, Photoshop opens them in separate tabs for you.

On the Photoshop Home screen, if you click the Open button (or if you choose File > Open), the standard macOS Open dialog box appears, with its Sidebar on the left. In the Sidebar is the Media category, which connects the current app to the Apple media libraries for the Music app, the Photos app, and the iMovie app. Click Photos in the sidebar, and the pictures you have in Apple Photos are listed. Select one or more photos, and click Open.
