“Contact Sheet II” and “Web Photo Gallery” disappeared from PS

Hello all,

I use PS5 on a PC.

Years ago, when PS5 first appeared, I was surprised to see these features were taken down. I was able to find appropriate files and install these features. Unfortunately, I did not write the steps and don’t remember now how it was done.

Everything was fine for some 10 years until a few days ago. I went to File > Automate > and did not see either feature.

Yesterday, I opened PS ready to investigate the problem, but to my great surprise saw both functions showing in File > Automate >. Trying to create a web page, resulted in an error message: “Photoshop encountered a problem and needs to close.”

There is a file <ContactSheetII.8LI> in c:\..\plugins\automate\ and
there is a folder c:\..\presets\web photo gallery\ which are there for about ten years.

Restarting PS and the computer several times did not help, so I am at a loss.

Any suggestion is apprected.

Boris

What version of windows are you using?

Is your windows 64 bit?

I ask because on a 64 bit windows install two versions of photoshop cs5 get installed, one 32 bit and the other 64 bit.

So sometimes plugins only get installed in only one of the versions.

Jeff,

Thank you very much!!!

Your answer reminded me that I once solved this problem but have completely forgotten.

I have Win 10 and both PS versions of course.

The functions worked on x64 and did not work on x32.

Still, is seems that I get this message rather often lately: “Adobe PS5 stopped working.

After restart the web page was created.

I Will check the link, thank yoiu!!
