Content Aware Scale Morphing Photos

I haven't done anything special to my Photoshop app, I just follow along all the instruction boards and YouTube videos to scale my content proportionally. However, content aware scale keeps morphing my photo. How do i get it to stop doing this or what additional steps am I not taking? Thank you!

Right now I'm making sure my photo is rasterized, placing it, selecting edit, content aware scale and clicking the person button. I've also tried using the lasso tool, saving that selection, then going in to content aware scale and choose that selection to Protect, choose the person button and it still morphs.

*I have also factory reset the app already
