Content aware with spot healing

when i open a photo and try to use the spot healing tool i cannot seem to get the content aware function to work.

    Be sure that you select the right Healing brush (there are two) and that you choose Content Aware before you start. Make the brush a little larger than the area you are trying to heal. Tap [ to make the brush smaller and ] to make it larger. Drag out short strokes so that you can undo if necessary.
