Converting image to 1 bit black and white

Hi all,

I have an image that I need to clean up for laser etching. The easiest way will be to convert the image to 1 bit B&W so any bits of light grey fly poo will be converted into white and not etched. Problem is, I cannot work out how to do this in Ps.  All web references I find only refer to converting images to B&W (greyscale). Hoping you can help.

Thanks
