Converting RAW to JPEG

Hello,

I'm trying to convert some images from RAW to JPEG. After converting at the highest quality of JPEG, the images are dramatically less sharp. Is there a certain method that will remedy this? When converted to TIFF files, the images maintain their sharpness but I'm trying to provide these to family for printing so JPEG is the format I need.

Thanks for the response. I'm not exactly sure, but the issue has sort of resolved itself. I think a few of the images I selected for testing were inherently a little darker and therefore grainier. Although I do feel the TIFF files are still a little sharper, the images that I've continued sampling appear to be sharp enough via JPEG.

While jpeg does use lossy compression, it shouldn't affect immediate sharpness (the deterioration is of a more subtle nature).

Are you sure you maintain the original pixel dimensions? Could you post screenshots to demonstrate?
