Copy and paste layers form one doc to another doesn't work

Hi All

I seem to run into an issue when I copy or drag layers to another document nothing happens, it's fine when I copy the layer and create a new file but not on an existing one, is this a bug, or has something changed and I didn't get the memo

Could you please post screenshots with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

I am glad you asked because I said select all but really you should choose edit/transform/scale. In the picture below you can see it now highlighted off the the actual page. Sorry for any confusion.

When you copy does the layer show on your new document but you can not see it? If this is the case, zoom out and select all, see if you see it highlighted. Your image maybe there, but sitting off the page.
