Copy paste not working

I am having trouble pasting a photo into Photoshop CC. I used to copy o photo in my photo file, then in photoshop I would click 'File>new', The File window would open and 'clipboard would show, but now it is greyed out. Why should it be greyed out. I can paste the photo in other programs, but not photoshop. I did a Camera Raw update recently, could that have caused a problem?

What reason do you have to that you have the run the first CC version of Photoshop.  I have keep CC 2014 version  15 of Photoshop installed but delete version 14.   It had bugs that were fixed in version 15.  I deleted version CC 2015, 2015.5 and 2017,  I have CC 2018  version 19 installed, version CC 2019 version 20 and PS 2020 version 21.2.1 installed. If it is a bug in version 14 Adobe will not be fixing it.  If resetting you CC preferences does not resolve you issue it may be time to Upgrade to Windows 10. Adobe doe nor support Photoshop on Windows 8.   Windows 7 or Windows 10 is required.
