Visual example of the problem

Any ideas how to fix this? I've also found that making an elipse with the elipse tool also results in corrupted pixels all around the edges of the circle. You won't see any corruption while in photoshop itself, but as soon as you save the file to a png it shows up.
Using the blur tool as a temp fix to the issue, but it's not exactly a good solution, as it takes away from the stuff you make when you need finer details in the image.
Tried re-installing, didn't help. got rid of old preferences too, didn't help. Tried rebooting, didn't help.

Problem solved, maybe? Went to "matting" "definge" set it to 1 pixel. cleaned it up. Hopefully that's a decent solution in the long run and doesn't hurt the images.

It would be better if you provided a psd file and its "corrupted" version in png.
It’s not clear what’s going wrong there.
"matting", "definge" work only at the edges of a transparent image. Nothing transparent is visible on your picture.

The version I posted is a snip of the PNG file. While in photoshop, the white transparency lines aren't visible. It's only once saved into PNG format.
I googled white edging in photoshop and it brought up the matting/defining fix, and it seems to work. The example images that came up had the same issue mine were having.

The eraser tool is a destructive approach.  I think it's better to use a non-destructive layer mask instead.  Watch the 2 minute video.

Very cool. I'll try that out. I normally do ALOT of erasing, lol. Like, I'll throw down a block of black, and then from that I'll erase it into the shapes I want, like eyebrows and stuffs. But this seems like another interesting way to do it.
