Question

Could not complete the camera raw filter command because the file-format module cannot parse the file

I've been doing a large product shoot for a nail company and 200 images have been edited perfectly fine so far. I took them on my phone as they are only needed for thumbnails and sent them all to my mac through iMessage.

I opened the JPEG and duplicate the layer to edit in camera raw and all of a sudden it's come up with this error box saying "Could not complete the Camera Raw Filter command because the file-format module cannot parse the file".

Does angone know how to fix this issue please? I've tried phoning Photoshop but I codnt get through to them after 30 mins on the phone. All the files are JPEG and I've tried the basic troubleshooting like closing photosbop and restarting it etc.

Thank you

    Hi Bethanys,

Could you please let us know which version of Photoshop are you using?
Could you please try renaming the image and let us know if it helps?

    Regards,

    Sahil

I've just done the new update and tried renaming the file. Nothing has changed except now I can't even open the file as I says it's not found. I've deleted the file and sent it to my laptop again and tried reopening it. Still the same error message.

Is it happening with multiple files or only 1 file? If yes, then the file must be a corrupt one.
Are you able to open the Jpeg in any other application?
