I'm tryin to open a .psd in Adobe Photoshop CC 2017.

I'm gettin the error "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document."

I've tried openin it on a mac & pc. Same error.

I've searched the forrums but can't find same problem.

Most "resolutions" say the file has been renamed and isn't the right type of file.

My file however is a .psd, that I created for a client a year ago, in photoshop cc.

I haven't touched it since then, I scanned to see if it was corrupt. nope.

Not sure what the issue is.

Any ideas?

The file you have may have become corrupted. Scanning a file just show if there are file errors or not.  It does not show if the file data is valid or not it just shows the file is readable. The are some PSD file recover application on the web.  Download some. Copy the psd you are having problems with  And see if any can recover your PSD from a copy of the file your having problems with..  Do not try to recover your PSD from the file you have.  One of the recovery applacation may damage it more. Bugs are not uncommon.
