Hi! My computer was accidentally pluged out while I was working on a .psd file. When I turned it on and tryied to open the file again this message appears "Could not complete your request because it is not the right kind of document." and the file won't open.

I'm guessing it got somehow corrupted because of the power outage but I'm not sure how I can fix this. Could someone please help?

Thak you,

Lenka

Hi, I didn't think it was in the process of saving. I thought it just recently saved before machine was pluged out but seems I was wrong or maybe it was still saving somewhere in the background. Anyways I even tried to search for the temporal file. Found it but neither this one will open.

I do have an old backup but it's a shame I made it worse by trying to save the progress.

Hi @Lenka312920154px7 unfortunately if the file was in the process of saving or writing to disk and the power was interrupted there most likely is nothing we can do - the file itself is corrupted. Do you have a backup?
