"Could not complete your request because the file could not be found" when trying to open a .PSD

Question

Like the title says, I've tried to open 2 different .PSD files and they are now gone because of a pop-up error "Could not complete your request because the file could not be found." I'm not sure what else to do, I'm just annoyed because a file I spent a couple hours working on is now gone.

The Adobe  or Third Party programmer did a poor job  they should have included the file name and path to give you some clue to what file is not where it should be.  I would not think it would not be your psd file open should have passed your file to Photoshop.  Have you setup any Script manager Open  event handler or install any third party photoshop add-ons?
