Crashes after update Photoshop to 21.1 on Mojave when Duplicate Layer

Hi,

Just upgraded to 21.1 on Apple Mojave with iMac 2013 and 24GB RAM

I open Photoshop, open an image (any) and either use CMD-J or go to the menu and Duplicate Layer and get an immediate crash. Never a problem before. Any ideas please?

    What have you done for trouble-shooting so far? 

    Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
