I have trapezoid with rounded corners that I would like to put an embattled border around the inside of.  How would I do this in Photoshop?

Also have a look at some of the border Actions that come with Photoshop and which can be adjusted.

Derek, I am relatively new to Photoshop, and don't know which would be the best way to get the desired result.  Which method do you recommend?

You need to use the shape of the trapezoid  to make a mask.  So first thing to do is male a selection of shape.  You'll need to show us the shape for more of an answer.

Is the Trapezoid on its own layer?

Does it have areas of transparency?

The trapezoid is its own layer.  I am not planning on it having areas of transparency.
