Hey,

I want to create a gif from a video.

I am using Photoshop CC 2017

I have done the following steps : -

File -> Import -> Video frames to layers ( Make frame animation selected )

I have a frame timeline and some bunch of layers. The first layer is visible rest are invisible. ( This was by default. )

I try to export the work as a gif but only get to export one image/layer. I don't know why it's not exporting all the layers as a gif.

I am going crazy as all the tutorials follow the same exact way and for me it's not working.

Also for some other reason my "Save for Web (Legacy) " option doesn't work. It gives an error. But the normal export as option works fine.

Any suggestions as to why only one layer is getting exported and not all ?

You kind of answered your own question, at least for part one. To save a gif animation, you must use save for web. Now all you have to do is figure our why save for web is not working.

Try resetting your preferences and see if that helps.
