Create spherical panorama from layer broke? Latest PS 22.4.1 and Mac OS 11.4

Was working perfectly yesterday and then Mac OS 11.4 update and PS 22.4.1 both showed up.

Pano preview is "created" but when I start to navigate, I get this a grid/graphic error. (See attached file.)

I'm likely to blame Apple with their latest update, but not sure.

I tried rolling back a previous version of PS and same error persists.  Resetting PS preferences/settings.

It seems like Apple might be at fault here and broke something.

Anyone have the same issue?

I'm on an Intel Mac.
