creating a large grey scale for photoshop project

I am working on a large installation and need to create a greyscale as part of my image. My paper is 22" wide, and I need to leave about an inch on each side to accomodate the printer. I want the greyscale to be a total of 100" in length by 5" in depth. In order to do this, I need to divide each segment into 20" lengths, but wish to be able to put the greyscale together to the full length and have it appear seamless. I can fit 3  20x5" segments on each sheet of paper (the paper is 17" in depth) so will produce the final greyscale using at least two sheets of paper.

 

My question is: how can I make each segment so that when it is put together it will look as if it were printed at full length on a single sheet of paper?

Hi @s.b.art when tiling art like this, the key is overlap regions. You should allow a certain amount of overlap between the segments and then when you put them together, you can butt cut the overlap to appear seamless.
