I'm trying to use an Action in PS, but the last several times I've tried it,

I get this message " The Command " Select " is not currently available,

Well if that's the case, then it hasn't been working for a couple of weeks.

Does anyone know what I can do to fix this, I need it to edit new photos.

Thanks

Janice

But the action needs a selection - this is what the error message means.

Did you change your workflow a little bit?

    What is the action for?

And, please, provide a screenshot of the actions panel with the relevant steps visible.

I figured it out,  it's not a PS problem,  it's the action itself,  I tested another action,  by selecting my action & clicking on 'play'  & it worked just fine.  I will get in touch with the company that I bought this action from.  I appreciate your help

Check the steps of your action: You can open the entries like in this screenshot.

Do you have to make the selection BEFORE you start the action?

Is there a command recorded which deletes your selection?

Yes, when I open up the action , I click on ' play'  & that is when I get the message & no to your other question,  no command recorded which deletes the selection ..

    thank you
