Crop Tool - Incremental movement via keyboard

I was wondering if there is a way to select any crop side 'handle' and have it move independantly(one at a time) with something like the arrow keys according to a preset amount, i.e. each press will move the selected side only 0.5 pixels per press.? or in 0.1 pixel increments while depressed, etc.?
All while the image remains fixed and no HxW ratios applied?

Not directly, but there is a workaround.

Ctrl A — Select all

In the Path panel click on the Make workpath from selection icon

Select the Direct Path tool (white arrow) and drag a window to select two points on the side you want to move.

Those points should become solid, and the opposite side points outlines.

You can now use the cursor keys to move the selected side.  I am pretty sure it moves one pixel per press of a cursor key.

When done, Ctrl click the workpath to make it a selection, and use Image > Crop to complete the process.  It's actually a lot less complicated than it sounds, and it achieves what you need.

Thanks Trevor,
I already knew something like that but it's a bit 'cumbersome' in that it takes alot of steps and the changing window size doesn't actually 'cut' off or dim the image being 'cropped'.
I was hoping to work with the crop tool directly to get faster feedback/workflow and be able to go back and forth with viewing different small adjustments.
With the method you showed me it's a bit slow with having to select the two corner points everytime a side is selected and also Ctrl clicking the workpath doesn't make it selectable for the crop tool as that stays greyed out.
This is a good method though if I am going to make a specific one time adjustment and want to just move a single side ever so slowly in small increments instead of manually with the mouse while using the crop tool. Thanks for the reminder of this approach.
