Crop tool ... meh

The new crop tool at first looks neat, but the large, white corners obscure important bits of what I'm trying to crop. Is there an option to make those less opaque or go back to the old tool?

I think Classic mode is what you're looking for.

Sorry, there is no workaround to the new crop tool look and feel.
