Crop tool not selecting whole canvas

Hi all,

I am used to a single left-click with the crop tool selecting the entire canvas, which can then be adjusted with the handles. Now when I left-click, nothing happens and I have to drag and draw a shape, which is much less useful.

Is there a setting that I have accidentally changed, or has Adobe decided that I no longer want this feature?

Thanks a lot

It still works for me. Can you try:

  • Confirm you don't have a selection before you start
  • Click the Crop tool a second time
  • Reset the Crop tool: right-click the tool in the options bar (not Tools panel) and Reset Tool

Let us know if any of this works before we send you to Preferences > Reset Preferences on Quit (after backing up customization).
