CS 6 Photoshop unresponsive

Photoshop is really unresponsive for me. When I try to make a new project, instead of giving me the background layer, it stays on the grey screen. I also can't transform images. Anything on the top bar seems to not be working

Not sure if this is recurring yet, but photoshop also crashed when I was trying to use the lasso tool.

I have photoshop on my HDD instead of my SSD. could that also be a problem?

    Hi Cubeytr,

If you had Photoshop on you SSD, it should run faster for you.

Would you be able to send us a screen shot of the grey screen?

Does the top bar show icons but do nothing when clicked?

    Thank you,

    Sebastian

I moved photoshop to my SSD and I ran it as an administrator. I'm getting a bit less lag, but I'm still having an occasional crash and the unresponsiveness. I will send a screenshot when I am able to. The top bar shows icons and do something when clicked, but when the tool is selected and I try to use it, nothing happens. For example, if I select the lasso, it will draw a small line, then disappear.
