CS5 Suite in OSX 10.11 El Capitan (Beta or future)

I am running CS5 suite on the current Yosemite build of OSX and was wondering if it will continue to be supported when the system changes to 10.11. Beta testers are reporting several different things. Some people seem to have no issues while other get an error about Java 6. I don't have the beta installed but am wondering if this will be an issue when the upgrade does come out.

    El Capitan is supposed to be an improvement over Yosemite with the same system requirements.

    If CS5 works on Yosemite, it should work on El Capitan. The Java they they are talking about is this: Java for OS X 2015-001

    You would install it if CS5 doesn't work properly. You may also have to reinstall CS5. Be sure to keep track of this topic in the El Capitan forums and upgrade when you are sure, especially if you depend on it to get paid work out on schedule.

    Yosemite was tested on CS6 at the least, and Apple is not going to be much concerned about adjusting their OSX for older products, when newer version are out there.

    Adobe doesn't support CS5 so don't count on any updates from them. I have CS5, Illustrator crashes and in Photoshop, the image you upload disappears. I have installed that legacy Java. I wish I never upgraded to El Capitan!

      Adobe are currently recommending that the CC  suite as a whole not be run on El Capitan-although you have to search hard to find that information

      So I would imagine there's fat chance of even people with CS6 getting much help let alone CS5

        Thanks for the link. Adobe locked it out. Good info but rather pathetic that Adobe, knowing full well, how expensive their apps are, and that we poor, non-corporate slobs have to suffer, choose to do nothing. Shame on you Adobe.
