Question

CS6 access .jsx files

Hi,

I'm trying to install a series of .jsx files into Photoshop CS6.

I’ve downloaded Adobe Extension Manager but Photoshop does not appear as a product so in CS6 I've tried clicking File / Scripts / Browse and the .jsx file, but I then get a message saying that Windows can't open the file, presumably because I've got nothing on my PC that will open files of this type.

I'd be grateful for advice on how to overcome this issue.

Thanks in advance,

Andrew

Hi @andywalmsley,

you don't need the Adobe Extension Manager for *.jsx files.

  1. Close Photoshop
  2. Simple drag&drop (or copy&paste) your *.jsx files into folder C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop[your version]\Presets\Scripts
  3. Open Photoshop again
  4. Now your Scripts available are in menu: File --> Scripts

If that works for you

have fun

😉
