CTRL+Z first undos my actions of turning a layer on/off instead of undoing the change made in canvas

I used Photoshop 2017 up until last month, but since I got a pc which supported the new photoshop 2020, I installed it, a frustrating thing that keeps happening is that if I make some changes in a layer and turn that layer on and off by clicking on the eye icon to see how good/bad its looking, and when I press Ctrl+Z if I am not happy with my result, it takes my actions of turning that layer on and off into account as well when undoing,so it takes longer to undo one stroke in my canvas. I did not have this issue in the 2017 version.

Should I revert back if this unsolvable.

Open the History panel and in the panel menu, select History Options > click "Make Layer Visibility Changes Undoable"
