Question

custom embedded psd thumbnail

The psd's out of my Mac Photoshop CS4/CS5 have embedded thumbnails that are too small for me. I have a powerful system and don't mind the extra cache if photoshop can embed a larger preview jpg inside the psd.

How can I get photoshop to ask me for the thumbnail size to be embedded?

I tried installing an extension "Unlimited preview sizes" under CS4 legacy plugins thinking it would do something towards this end, but photoshop does not seem to have any extra options from this. Will the SDK let me do this in some way?

Any insight on this would be helpful.

Is it possible as stated in the CS4/CS5 legacy extensions (http://kb2.adobe.com/cps/404/kb404900.html), to embed upto a 512x512 thumbnail by default everytime a psd is created? Turning on the 'Full size' in the saving preferences did not seem to do it for me.

Going through the photoshop API, looked like it was mainly about writing plugins and could not find much info about this.

Thanks

I will take no for an answer

Just seeing how I am make most use of the thumbnail resource at this point. Also want to confirm if there is a hard limit to the thumbnail dimensions that can be embedded.

Hope to have this clarified if possible please.
