Deleting a record in Brush Settings

I have Photoshop CC. Many records in my Brush Settings are different settings for the same brush. How can I delete records in Brush Settings so that I have only one record per brush? Every time I look in FAQs, I end up learning how to delete a brush, but I don't want to do that!

There is no other way. Individual properties cannot be editetd. They are not "transparent", i.e. not published as separate properties and individually accessible. You have to load the brush preset, modify it and save it as a new one while deleting the old one if you so desire.

Many thanks for your rapid reply. I guess in my excitement, I loaded more than one copy of Kyle's brushes! I will go back to square one. I have too many brushes anyway!
