Question

Deselect and Command+D are not working in my Photoshop.

Hi,

My problem is that If select an area with the marquee, lasso or quick selection tool for 'Adjustments',  then I can't 'Deselect' afterwards. All the changes  that I try in other areas of the photograph, only apply to the area that I selected the first time.   I've tried using 'Deselect' and 'Command+D' but nothing works.

What can I do?  Thanks.

    Try hitting the esc key. Does that work?

    If not, then you may need to do as Mohammad.Harb suggested.

    you can try ressting preferences settings:

    edit -> preferences-> general

    click on Reset Preferences on quit,

    restart photoshop

    Hi Mohammad and Meganchi,

    Thanks for your suggestions.  My keyboard language is set to  US English, and I already tried resetting the Preferences and restarting Photoshop several times, but nothing has changed. I still can't Deselect.  Is there anything else I could try?

    Thanks again.
