Question

Dialogues appear on the other monitor

Hi Team,

I've found this a bit disruptive. So I have multiple monitors on my screen, and there cases when I move application's main window to screen B. I've noticed that when I continue working, on screen B, the dialogues/modals will still appear on screen A. Is there any way for these dialogues to always appear on top of the main app window? When I'm working late night.. sometimes I forget about this behavior, and it drives me nuts to try to figure out why PS has 'frozen.'

Thanks.

It happens constantly to me on my Mac. I work on my big monitor and record training videos and teach on the smaller one. The dialog boxes always open on the wrong one when I switch from one monitor to another. Yes it's annoying...

I am sure this is an OS issue,

it happens on mac too, with various apps and even "finder" (file system) windows - in fact, even when the 2nd screen is off for some reason dialog boxes can pop up on it and - yes the app' appears to have frozen,

frustrating but as it happens with lots of apps I don't think Adobe can fix it.

    I hope this helps

    thanks

The monitor IDs is determined by the port on the graphics card the monitor is connect to. You can swap the connections for the monitors on your graphics card to change them.  If you simply choose to use another display Windows 10 will not recognize where you have the Application.   Better on the Mac but still sometimes files will open on the wrong display.
