Difference between Photoshop and Elements 2021??

Hi there, 
So I was just wondering... I've been using the Adobe Photoshop Elements 2015 for a while now and I think it's time for an upgrade, considering my uni course is a lot to do with digital art etc. but I'm a bit confused and would like advice before I spend money. So, what's the difference between Adobe Photoshop 2021 and Adobe Photoshop Elements 2021? Are there some features not available in one/another? What one is more worth purchasing? Sorry for the bother x

In addition to what Derek said, I can personally tell you as a former Elements user (version 9, if I recall) that it's like going from a Volkswagen to a Porsche. It sounds like I'm being a little too hyperbolic but when you get your hands on features like Channels, Curves, 16-bit+, full-on Camera Raw...well...you'll see for yourself.
