Hi there,

I keep on getting this particular request when opening Photoshop.

I am talking about the DirectX request.

I do have DirectX 12 installed, but, Photoshop does not recognise that.

What is going on?

@joziG DirectX is part of the operating system, but you need a GPU that supports it, the Intel 4600 GPU does not have full DirectX 12 support, you need a feature level of 12 and above, the feature level of the Intel 4600 is only 11

You can find your feature level on the display tab in dxdiag

DirectX 12 is a programming interface, defining a set of functions in a programming language.

Feature level is what the GPU can do, which of the defined functions it is actually able to perform.

If the card can work with the DirectX 12 APIs, then it "supports DirectX 12". But it may not be able to do everything specified.
