Sorry if this isn’t the right place but couldn’t find where else to post.

theyre both cr2 files

I can drag direct from the card to dng with the 700d but doing the same with the m5 comes up with an error ‘the source folder does not contain any supported camera raw files’

help??

using latest Mac high Sierra

Dng version 9.6

    The Canon M5 requires camera raw 9.8 or later so the same for the DNG convertor.

    You can get the latest version of the DNG convertor here:

    Thanks. I’ll give that a go! I had already tried updating the converter and ive got an adobe subscription so it updates all the time but I’ll double check it all.

    Hi

    The DNG convertor does not auto update you have to load it manually.

    Out of interest, is there any reason you are using the convertor given that with a current subscription the up to date version of camera raw will open your raw files directly?

    Also tried moving the files (from m5 card)  onto my Mac as I read elsewhere the source file coming from external source may be an issue but it does the same thing. Just don’t get why the same file type won’t work because it’s from a different source location?
