Document Window Disappears After Opening

I'm running Photoshop 25.4.0 on Macbook Pro Sonoma 14.2.1. When I open a photo (jpeg or other), I can not see the image in the document window. I can see the thumbnail in the layers panels, with any layers if there are any, but nothing in the work area. Occasionally, the image appears when first opened, but it is in a jigjaw type order and once I click anywhere, it dissappears. This is a new problem. It has left my Photoshop completely unusable. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, do you know how to fix it? Is this a known bug? I can't find anything on it. Thanks so much.

At first it did, for the several files, but then it went back.

If you check Deactivate Native Canvas and restart Photoshop, the setting doesn't stick?

Thank you so much! Yes, this corrected it. It's not a one-time fix. I keep having to do it as I open new documents, but it works. Thanks, again.

Go to Photoshop 2024>Settings>Technology Previews and check Deactivate Native Canvas, then

restart photoshop and see if that makes any difference.
