Dotted lines appearing in edited photos

I keep getting these odd dotted lines popping up in my photos as I'm editing them.  They are vertical white dashed lines.  I get them often, but not all the time.  I'm pretty paranoid about them appearing now, that I have to closely scour my final images to make sure they are not appearing.  I generally will just clone or patch them out when I find them.  I'm just curious if this is a known issue and if there might be anything specific causing them?
