Question

Downloading Photoshop on more than one machine

Hello from a long-time user but new to the new online photoshop and photoshop community,

Can you download photoshop to more than one PC even though you're only using one machine/account at a time?

I first loaded photoshop to my laptop and now I'm trying to put it on my desktop but when I try to download it to my desktop, which will be the primary computer, the download keeps failing. Am I correctly assuming that is the reason the download isn't failing? If that's so, how do I transfer the license to the other PC?

If your machines meet the system requirements, you can download and install on multiple computers.  But you can activate only 2 devices at once..

When downloads stop responding, see this help article.

Photoshop is not a online network application.  Photoshop is installed on your local mane and runs from your local machine.  You only have to go online to Activate it.  And then now and then to keep the activation valid.  You can install Photoshop on as many machines as you use.  However, only two of your machines can be activated at the same time.  Photoshop is installed and activated via the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application.  If  Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop application is failing install Photoshop what messages does it display what are the errors.

Thanks for getting back so quickly

There is no additional information given it just loads about 75% and then says update failed with a retry click-box. There is also a place to get more information but you only get an advertisement for Photoshop with no information about the failure.

Is your plan a Teams / Enterprise account?  If so,  you need to contact your IT deparment's admin for assistance.

If you have an Individual plan, we need to find out exactly where the 3 step download and installation process is getting interrupted.  The best way to do that is with logs.  See below.

If you continue to have difficulties, ask for technical support via online chat.
