Drag and drop image to Photoshop shortcut does not load image

For years i am used to drag image files directly to photoshop shortcut on desktop it was working, however not anymore now photoshop simply opens homepage window. in which i have to drag files ones more.

Could you restore functionality to drag and drop files on the photoshop.lnk on desktop to load them?
